“Latidos del olvido” es un proyecto artístico, encaminado hacia la “crea-ocupación" de lugares abandonados, cuenta con la colaboración de artistas y pensadores que aportan sus intervenciones y reflexiones intentando rescatar realidades del pasado y del presente.. Creaciones in situ, realizadas en un lugar, con ese lugar y para ese lugar.

Los
caminos son a su vez barreras. Paradójicamente suelen trazarse en
paralelo y por este motivo, sus significados cada vez se parecen más.
Del mismo modo, el camino inexorablemente es la línea que divide dos
espacios, también es la manera de llegar a ellos. Cabe pensar qué
fue primero y porqué, quien delimito al otro y porqué.
The
paths are barriers at the same time. Paradoxically, they are usually
drawn in parallel, thus their meaning is becoming more and more
similar. In the same way, a path is unrelentingly the line, which
splits two spaces but also the way to reach these places. Points to
consider here are: what was first and why, or who did demarcate the
other and why.
Espacios
definidos: caminos o lugares. Y entre ellos; barreras,
bordes...lugares con propietario pero sin dueño, lugares que nada
representan pero tras de si esconden valores, derechos y deberes. Una
trama normativa que pasa desapercibida y que el tiempo y el uso
modifica.
Defined
spaces: paths or places. And, between them barriers,
borders...properties with a proprietor but with no owner, places that
mean nothing - but beyond, they hide values, rights and duties. A
normative grid often goes unnoticed but time and the usage modify it.
Diferenciales
en el espacio, abstracciones de una propiedad, de un uso
característico de este modo, el camino se convierte en barrera de
segundo orden. Porque el camino si tiene un uso, sin estancias, pero
libre para todos y aunque no siempre tengamos acceso más allá de
sus límites, siempre podremos recorrer su única dimensión sin
principio ni fin. El acceso a la nada, a continuar el camino, a
seguir en único lugar en donde se nos permite estar, pero sin
detenerse.
No
se salgan del camino.
Differential
space, abstractions of a property and characteristic usage. As a
result, the way becomes a second order barrier, because the path has
a usage with no free space, but accessible to all of us. We do not
always can cross its boundaries, but we can always move along only in
one dimension without beginning or ending. The access to nowhere, to
continue the way, to follow the only place where we are allowed to
stay, but without stopping.

Poco o nada cuesta ser uno más. El trabajo dignifica al hombre, el trabajo responder a: “¿Qué eres?” o “¿qué quieres ser?".Negar su respuesta es negar la realidad, lo que hacemos transforma al mundo y este nos transforma a nosotros.
It takes nothing or almost nothing to be just like all the rest.Work dignifies a man, work gives answer to: “what are you?” or “what do you want to do?”.
Refusing that question means refusing reality, everything we do transforms the world, and the world transforms us.
Todos somos diferentes. Hace ya mucho tiempo que la industrialización ganó la partida a la artesanía y con ella se estandarizaron nuestras vidas, sin embargo negar sus ventajas es absurdo; precios asequibles, rentabilidad, eficiencia. Nuevos términos que determinan nuestro día, nuevos valores que nacieron para aportar ventajas a la humanidad. Si tenemos el control sobre ellos y los utilizamos como herramienta disfrutaremos de una vida más plena. Si no, serán nuestros verdugos; producirán nuestras necesidades y nuestras deudas.
We are all different.Industrialization overcame the crafts years ago and therefore our life became standardized. However, refusing its advantages is absurd; affordable prices, profitability, efficiency. New terms that determine how we act each and every day, new values created for bringing many advantages to humanity. If we do control it and continue using it like a tool, we will enjoy a fuller life. Otherwise, It will be our executioner, producing our needs and our debts.
Este trabajo busca una reflexión sobre ello. A través de los espacios de una fábrica, de sus productos, de los elementos que componen el lugar y de la huella de las personas, se pretende crear un escenario que nos permita abstraer la esencia de nuestro papel en la sociedad como parte activa de ella. Redefiniendo y revisando los significados de términos más elementales que definen la producción en serie.
This work attempts to look for a reflection about it. Through the space of a factory, its products, the elements composing the site and the traces of people, it attempts to create a stage, which will allow us to abstract the essence of our role in society as an active part of the community. Redefining and revising the meanings of the simplest terms, which define mass production.

La tradición, cultura y costumbres de un pueblo no son triviales ni iguales para toda la humanidad.
Tradition, culture and customs of people are not trivial or equal for the whole humanity.
Cada contexto define unos problemas y soluciones independientes. Existen también realidades universales y atemporales: las plazas son puntos de encuentro, las casas unidades habitables o funcionales y las calles, conexiones entre ellas. Pero cada una responde a una necesidad y el conjunto de ellas caracteriza la identidad de una cultura.
Each context defines different problems and solutions. There are universal and timeless realities: the squares are meeting points, the buildings are residential houses or functional places, and finally streets as the connections between them. However, each of them meets a need and they altogether describe the identity of a culture.
Distintas decisiones marcan una dirección, un comportamiento y una evolución. En ocasiones estas decisiones son erróneas y arrastran consecuencias fatales. Otras veces son acertadas y suponen un avance de la sociedad.
Different decisions indicate certain direction, behaviour and evolution. Sometimes these decisions are wrong and carry on fatal consequences. Occasionally, they are successful and represent an advance for the society.
Existen también decisiones aleatorias que no llevan a ningún punto y simplemente quedan en el olvido. Pero en mayor o menor medida todas construyen la historia que vivimos.
There are also random decisions, which do not lead to any point but just fall into the oblivion thus building our history to a greater or lesser extent.
Este trabajo, pretende reinventar la realidad, cuestionar cada una de las decisiones tomadas y valorarlas en función a las necesidades de la sociedad.
This work aims at reinventing the reality, inquiring about each of the decisions and evaluating them according to the needs of the society.
Se trata de un experimento basado en la tradición como la evolución lógica del hombre, cómo continuar progresando sin negar la sabiduría del hombre a lo largo de su existencia y hacer una aportación en base a todo el camino recorrido.
Se trata de cuestionar todo.
Se trata de proponer otras ideas, otros valores que permitan reciclar o avivar los aciertos del pasado.
Se trata de avanzar sin destruir.
Se trata de sentirnos parte de lo que somos, de escribir nuestra propia historia.
It is about an experiment based on the tradition, like the logical humanity evolution, enlarging the progress without refusing human’s knowledge acquired throughout life and contributing as basing on the foundations of it.
It is about questioning everything.

The intervention in Villarijo is an attempt to humanize the village and apply personal skills to the whole, manifesting the feelings we share, in order to learn from ourselves.
Se aplicarán conceptos nuevos creados desde la extinción de Villarijo para sumarlos al contexto existente. Se colocarán objetos y tendencias de nuestros días en armonía con la tradición. Se crearan escenarios que propongan una nueva visión descontextualizando al espectador nuestra realidad impuesta para animar la creación de nuevas ideas.
New concepts created after the Villarijo extinction will be applied in order to add them to the existing context. Those objects and actual trends will be placed in harmony with tradition. Stages will be created to propose to the spectator a new vision making out of context, some sort of an imposed reality in order to encourage new ideas.
Estos escenarios serán fotografiados y desmontados tras las tomas recuperando el estado actual. Como un experimento, una propuesta, una visión de lo que podría haber sido, aprovechando la identidad que el pueblo tuvo sin haber sido contaminada desde entonces.
These scenarios will be photographed and removed afterwards as to recover the original state. As an experiment, a proposal, a vision of what might have been, using the village identity before it has been contaminated.
